My goal is to create a safe and compassionate space for people to improve their relationships and heal from past experiences. In our time together, we won’t just focus on what you’d like to change, but what you’d like to keep, celebrate, and embrace.
It would be an honor to work with you. I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse population groups within various settings. I’ve provided emergency services as a sexual assault crisis advocate. I’ve worked as a teacher and addiction counselor at an AZ state prison. I’ve worked as a therapeutic intern for a refugee resettlement agency and as an adjunct professor at a state university. I’m aware that our lives are affected by multiple factors, including our income, sexual identity, race, gender, and age.
Therefore, I don’t use a one-size fits all approach to therapy. You’re the expert in your life. We’ll move forward at your pace, and we’ll explore the goals that are important to you whether that’s increasing intimacy, improving sexual health/satisfaction, healing after trauma, or improving your relationships with others and yourself.
I generally use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, systems therapy, internal family systems, and mindfulness practices. However, I utilize an individualized approach. I’ll adjust my modality to suit your needs and preferences, and I’ll continue engaging in learning opportunities so I can improve the quality of my services. Regardless of the therapeutic model that I use, our time together will be trauma-informed, sex positive, body positive, sex worker allied, and LGBTQIA2S+ affirming.
It takes a lot of courage to ask for help, and I’m patient. I want you to know that this is a safe space to talk about topics that may be difficult to say out loud - and even more difficult to share with someone else. I’ll work hard to earn your trust. I’ll provide an inclusive, culturally affirming, anti-racist, and non-judgmental space for us to process, reflect, laugh, and plan.
